Great thanks for Your work on MBEDIT. Having it I another time feel young and full of power. With every new OS I was frightened, if I could run AEDIT. After years I did not find more powerfull tool to convert messy ASCII data into format importable to database. AEDIT and now MBEDIT is for me the only solution. I can't express gratitude to You.

Years ago I worked with Aedit, now coming to Linux via ssh I searched for an easy to use, small but powerful editor and I found mbedit. Thank you for all your work and the migration to multiple platforms. - Please keep alive and up to date this tool even in a world of mice and colored windows.

I'm looking fo an hex editor for my loved N-Gage QD. It has the Symbian 1st Edition operative system. I can't find any hex editor for this OS. Can you port your hex editor to this platform, please?. Hi Michael,

I'm working at Intel Israel as a Senior S/W Engineer for 28 years (I'm the most veteran Intel Israel employee) - and for almost 25 years (since it's called Alter) I'm using the Aedit editor on PC and Linux machines. I have written hundred of thousands programs lines using it... (plm,c,c++,perl,tcl,skill,fortran,pascal,etc…)
Your Mbedit is kind of real refreshment for me, (its support, for example, extreme big buffers - the end of world has come!)
But, as you may understand, Aedit is kind of pencil for me, and it's belong to my fingers (part of my brain is "Aedit intuitive usage model"), and many years I didn't touch the aedit.mac file because it was exactly build for what I need during the years.
So I need, if you don't mind, your help bringing up my habits back and have your help of setting up the keypad "7" to be "home" and the keypad "Enter" to be "Esc", so could you send me how should I do it using Mbedit.mac

I am a long time AEDIT user. I've been wanting a windows version and here it is! But I would like to make the window bigger. I tried changing the number of lines in the macro file, but that didn't help. So I downloaded the source and I'm trying to compile it. Seems I'm missing a bunch of include files. termio.h, termios.h, ioctl.h, etc. I'm using MS Visual Studio. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I used to develop using Intel (ASM86, PLM86, IC86 & AEDIT) software, and have been frustrated by the lack of clever editors in the modern AEDIT-less world of Microsoft Visual Studio.

Ich glaube dass mbedit ist die am besten
editorprogramm (und ich habe viel andere
probiert - vi, emacs, usw.).

Ihre mbedit ist ein ausgezeichnete
editorprogramm, und ich habe es, unter
Linux und Solaris benutzt.

Ich habe nie ein problem, mit mbedit
gehabt, und es hat viele sehr gute
funktionen, dass Alter und Aedit haben nicht.

I was just lamenting today about not being able to use my favorite editor, AEDIT, in Linux. I considered writing my own, but decided first that a google search would be more appropriate. And here I found that you have already done it! Hooray!
